Some new wood and tools from the dollar tree

Also got some little palettes to set things for drying. The sanding sponge was 1.50 the wood was 1.25 and the 4 inch c clamp was 3. All are actually really nice. The wood is some kind of light pine, my wood Identification ain't too well covered to tell more than that. It has tight grain and carves nicely.

Meanwhile my edge stamp blade snapped right off on the first blow from the mallet. I still have not found use for the xacto blades in recycling for tools.

I'll need to put a proper piece of steel in there...

The c clamp will allow me to circumvent the need for the edge stamp tool to some degree I guess. I'll carve some stamps for the leather and press them in the clamp. It seems like a good quality one so far... Time for trial by fire.

Now I'm going to start fixing the edge on my favorite carving knife since it glanced off a pin while carving that tool handle.

Alright, it's all sharp and shiny and properly edge shaped again.

The table frame

I got the idea to make little tables with the pine planks. Just to organize stuff a little on the bench and next to Freyja's enclosure. Can't use it in the enclosure but can deal it and use it to hold her vitamin powders and stuff.

Anyway happy weekend.
